Battle Creek Emergency Management is sponsoring NWS Skywarn training session on Saturday, March 30th. The session runs from 10:00am to noon and will be held at the Lakeview Middle School. Advance registration is requested. You can view the flyer here.

A Ham In A Day class is being sponsored by the City of Battle Creek Emergency Management agency. The class with be held on May 4th from 10:00am to 4:00pm. A VE testing session is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm. Advance registration is requested for the Ham in a day session. The flyer may be seen here.

Meeting Information

The SMARS club meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Maple United Methodist Church at 342 Capital Ave NE. Meetings begin at 7pm and usually last less than 2 hours. If you are interested in becoming an Amateur Radio Operator please feel free to come by. We can help you pass your test to get you started in the amazing world of Ham Radio.

In addition to the official monthly meeting, many members meet on the 1st Saturday of the month for the SMARS club breakfest (8:30AM). This month the breakfast will be held at the Coney Island on NE Capital Avenue (North of Fog Motors and south of Bailey Park). The BLB (Before Lunch Bunch) meets on the 2nd thursday of the month at 11:30 AM at the same location. Finally, the on the 1st Saturday of the month immediately after the siren test, all interrested parties meet at the Coney Island for "coffee".
