SMARS Board Meeting
March 29, 2010

Called to Order: 6:02 PM

Officers Present:  Bob KC8PRL, Don W8RVT, John W8JRD, Jim KD8MNQ

Topics:

Hamfest: Preliminary figures on the Hamfest were presented. Don is still waiting for some of the bills. There was discussion on some of the issues at the hamfest, such as parking, crowding, trunk sales and lighting. Options still remain for next year, including moving the hamfest outside of Marshall. There was an issue with
some of the tests at the VE session which is being addressed. The hamfest still was the easiest to setup and one of the most profitable for the club.

Technical Engineer: Still tracking interference on 2 meters. The UPS at the repeater site needs a new battery. Motion was approved to buy a new battery and also to reimburse Don for the antenna he purchased last fall. A motion was also made to reimburse Don $25 for miscellaneous supplies used to erect the new 2 meter antenna.

Adjourned: 7:01 PM

Respectfully Submitted,
John Davidson W8JRD
SMARS Secretary
