The annual SMARS Christmas party was held once again at the Old Country Buffet on Bechley Road. Turnout was better than expected, with some faces that haven't been seen for a while.
We're still trying to get the 440 nets up and running on Wednesday and Saturday. We've had some check-ins, but more are welcome. Remember, the 220 and 440 repeaters are linked and you can check in on either, or even through Echolink.
The SMARS club meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month at Maple United Methodist Church at 342 Capital Ave NE. Meetings begin at 7pm and usually last less than 2 hours. If you are interested in becoming an Amateur Radio Operator please fell free to come by. We can help you pass your test to get you started in the amazing world of Ham Radio.
