SMARS REGULAR MEETING
June 21, 2007 President Lou Ryason called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Usual introductions. After the usual introductions a MOTION was made and second to ACCEPT the MINUTES and TREASURERS REPORT as printed in the Feedback. MOTION PASSED. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Repeater Technician all Repeaters are working OK. Dick Holcomb ARRL Liason informed the members that there would be a VE Session held on the fourth Thursday, which is June 28, at 7:00 P.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Fellowship Hall located at the corner of West Michigan and Washington. He also informed the members that new General Tests effective June 1, have been received, also that there will be meeting of all VE's before the Session. He also informed members that there exists a need for a new VE Session Liason with the ARRL, because he is having health problems and for anyone interested to contact him. Calhoun County EC Dave Smith informed members that the SET Test results were in and that Michigan scored the highest, thanks to all. Also Battle Creek Mayor proclaimed June 17 thru 25, Amatuer Radio Week in conjunction with Field Day. OLD BUSINESS: The permit to use the field at Kellogg field for Field Day has been received. Operators are needed. Especially in CW operation, since the two George's will not be able to operate, Also Harlan Jones informed the club that he woud not be able help operate CW. NEW BUSINESS: Tonights Program was cancelled due to health problems. It will be reschuled for later. The program for July will be set up at July board meeting. Vehicles needed to pull trailers to Field Day Site.
